Mentone is a small town on Lookout Mountain in the southern Appalachians. In his first diary, Welcome Home, Dad, Frankie chronicled his father's return home from prison. In his second diary, Frankie tells of playing football with the Valley Head Tigers. This is Frankie's story as originally heard on National Public Radio®'s All Things Considered®.
